From setup to closing the month.

    You register your packaging

    Boxes S/M/L, mailers, labels, tape. Each with cost, dimensions and initial stock. Optional low-stock threshold.

    An order enters "Packing"

    On the screen, the "Packaging used" card appears. The operator adds the box + 2 bubble sheets + 1 label.

    On save, stock drops

    4 audited movements (one per packaging consumed), linked to the order. Month spend updates.

    Alert if you hit critical

    If medium boxes drop below threshold, alert on the dashboard. Time to order before Monday.

  5. 5

    Month close

    Open the module, see spend vs. previous month, distribution by type, annual chart. Decision: renegotiate with supplier X.

Why keep packaging separate from the catalog?
Because it's not sold. Mixing it in the PIM would pollute stats (rotation, ranking, value at retail). It's a resource, not a product.
How many packaging types can I have?
Unlimited. Typical stores have 8-15 types (3 box sizes, 2-3 mailers, labels, tape, bubble wrap…).
Can I have multiple sizes of the same box type?
Yes. Each with its own code, cost and dimensions. The system recommends the smallest suitable box per order (optional).
What if the packer forgets to record use?
Your call: either you leave it optional (soft alerts) or require completion at pack (blocks close-out of the order). Configurable per store.
Can I track sustainability metrics?
The spend chart shows what you consume in each type. Ideal to compare recycled vs. non-recycled options and track your environmental impact.
Do I need to change my online store to use Kumbai?
No. Kumbai connects to your existing store.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Exportable any time (CSV/JSON). 30 days to download before permanent deletion.
